Robert L. Schmitter is the President and CEO of ObjectBuilders. Robert's unique combination of technology, business and sales expertise have allowed him to successfully grow and operate profitable software solutions companies over the past 15 years.
Robert is also the inventor of LiveXML™ and holds several patents involving LiveXML technology. He recently contributed to a chapter in Dr. Charles Goldfarb's XML Handbook, released in late 2003. The chapter features Robert's invention of LiveXML.
After finishing his education in Computer Engineering at Penn State University in 1989, Robert founded Frontier, a software company that specialized in Object Oriented Solutions. Robert successfully negotiated one of the few dealerships for NeXT Computer for Frontier. |

While at Frontier, Robert teamed with NeXT East Coast sales representatives for all Fortune 500 account penetration, successfully selling solutions to companies like Vanguard, Merck and RR Donnelley
After Frontier, Robert participated as a founder and key member of two successful consulting companies that achieved annual sales of over $20 million each. While with these companies, Robert successfully sold solutions to companies like Siemens, State of Indiana, Liberty Mutual, Prudential, Guardian Insurance, PECO Energy, RSL, and CNA.
Robert serves on several panels and committees within the Federal Government and is co-chair of the Emerging Technology Committee. The committees are under the direction of the Federal CIO Council and the Federal Enterprise Architecture Committee. These committees are charged with helping the Federal Government identify, adopt and deploy emerging technologies such as XML and Web Services.
